Reed's School is an HMC boarding and day school for boys with some day girl places in the Sixth Form. There are 5 Houses, although boarders are accommodated in separate areas for 11-13 year olds, 13-16 year olds and the Sixth Form. Day boys are integrated into Houses for competitions and, from September 1996, they have their own Day Boy Centre.
In September 1991, Reed's added a school for the sons and daughters of expatriate Dutch working in London. These pupils aged between 11-14 are taught in Dutch for some academic subjects, but share others with the English pupils. A few join the Reed's pupils for GCSE exams.
The school is set in 40 acres of Surrey countryside and has extensive facilities for games, including 2 astroturf hockey pitches, 9 tennis courts, 2 squash courts, an indoor swimming pool, fitness room and Sports Hall. Recent additions to the academic facilities include a new library, printing room and modernised drama provision. The School has excellent facilities for DT and IT, Club and society activities including Combined Cadet Force and Duke of Edinburgh Gold and Silver Awards Scheme.
Reed's offers Academic, Art, Music, Sport, Technology and All-round Scholarships up to half fees in value at both 11+ and 13+; Sixth Form Academic Scholarships are also available. Substantial bursaries up to full fees value are offered to boys who have lost the support of one or both parents.
A Day Boy Centre and new Sixth Form boarding facilities opened in September 1996.
The school offers both remedial English for dyslexic pupils and TEFL given by a specialist teacher in a dedicated and equipped room, although all pupils must be able to undertake the main School curriculum. The School is a member of CReSTeD.
